Principle of energy conservation and Management

Energy Conservation :

Energy Conservation is defined as saving in energy consumption without making any sacrifice of quantity and quality of production, services as well as quality of life. In simpler words energy Conservation means same out put of services and goods with reduced consumption of energy.
Energy Conservation means not only reducing the consumption of energy but also goods and services.

Need for energy Conservation : 

There are many reasons for the need of energy consumption. Such as 

1) Use and dependence on appliances and gadgets have considerably increased for comfortable and luxurious life style.

2) Conventional sources have fixed and limited reserved which if not checked will be exhausted in near future.

3) Indusries need mainly refined grade of energy i.e. work energy or motive power which Will be available from the conservation of energy.

4) Energy Conservation is necessary to meet primary and life supporting needs such as food, water and cleaned air.

5) Energy Conservation helps in reduction of green house gasses, pollution and global warming.

6) Energy Conservation is now a part of energy management and meeting estimated future needs of energy.

7) Energy Conservation helps to maintain Better economic status in the nation.

Method of energy conservation in demestic sector :

Domestic consumption of energy is very high and conservation of energy in domestic sector is very vital to bring effective reduction in over all energy consumption.

There are following methods of energy conservation in demestic sector :

1) High efficiency smokeless chulhas or cook stove used in villages reduce non commercial forms of energy and minimize deforestation process.

2) Judicious and required use of LPG stoves help in sizable reduction in consumption of energy used for cooking purposes.

3) Make the habits of switching off lights, Fans, A.c. and refrigerators and  TVs when they are not in use.

4) Provide natural lights and ventilation instead of using electricity.

5) Minimize the consumption of electricity for domestic work.
