Potential Of renewable energy sources in India

Potential Of renewable energy sources in India

They are also called as non conversanal sources of energy because they were not used traditionally or comvenstionly Ain power generating systems. They are listed as below :

1) Solar energy
2) Wind energy
3) Bio mass energy
4) Tidal energy
5) Geo thermal energy

Solar Radiation due to atmosphere

These are all renewable sources of energy as they are always available without failing. These are the sources of energy which support biological life on  the Earth.
In fact without these sources all living species such as human beings, animals, plants and trees , insects, birds and bacteria cannot exit.
These sources of energy maintain ecological balance which is very essential for survival of the biological life on the Earth.

Definition of renewable sources of energy  :

Renewable sources of energy are defined as those sources of energy such as solar energy , wind power , Biomass energy , tidal energy , and Geo thermal energy which are freely available from nature and Never exhausting. As they are continuously renewed and replenished They are called renewable energy sources.

Solar energy :

The 🌞 sun is a source of solar energy. It is large hydrogen reactor in which nuclear reaction are continuously taking place as a result Solar radiations are continuously eninating from it. The solar Rays in the form electromagnetic waves are received on Earth contains light and heat energy.
Solar energy is abundantly available and also at free of cost. Approximately seven KWH per day per square meter energy is available from sun rays.

They are many applications for direct utilization of Solar energy.

1)  It is used for heating water in Solar water heaters for domestic and Industrial uses.

2) It is used in Solar dryer for drying agricultural produce and fishes.

3) It is used to running solar water pump.

4) It is used in Solar thermal power plant to generate electricity.

5) It is used for domestic cooking in Solar cooker.

6) It is used in traffic signals , street light and railway signals.
