ACID RAIN

Acid Rain

Combustion of fossil fuels in the power plants, and automobiles genenrate large amount of gasses like CO2, SO2CO and also the other gases. Immediately, this gasses mix with moisture containing in the surrounding atmosphere. The reaction between these gasses and water of moisture Produces acid as per formula below :

  Co2 + O + H2 = H2CO3

The product of this chemical reaction is acidic water.
When such as acidic water falls in the form of Rain it is called Acid Rain. In European countries and USA there is problem acid rain. The acid rain has been witnesses in cities like kanpur and Mumbai. If atmosphere contains Calorine gasses as pollution it is possible to from hydro Caloric  Acid in the form of Rain.

Main cause of acid rain is pollution of air with the gasses like carbon dioxide, shulphar dioxide and chlorine. Traces of sulphuric acid and nitric Acids are also seen in the phenomena called Acid Rain. It has been observed that the traces of Acids are carried away over larger distance by the speedy Winds.
